College of Family and Consumer Sciences
The mission of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences
is to advance the well-being of individuals and families over
their life span and strengthen communities through the generation
and dissemination of knowledge, education of professionals,
and provision of research-based programs.
Over 50 faculty members are currently teaching and conducting
research in the Colleges' four academic departments: Child
and Family Development, Foods and Nutrition, Housing and Consumer
Economics, Textiles, Merchandising, and Interiors.
In addition to working with world renown faculty, undergraduate
and graduate students in the College have access to numerous
resources designed to increase the impact of their educational
experiences. These resources include computer facilities,
leadership development programs, educational technology, and
student organizations.
