UGA offers an exciting alternative to regular summer school that provides you with an early start on your academic career.

Dawg Camp
The Center for Leadership and Service at UGA sponsors a series of summer programs called Dawg Camp for incoming first-year students.  Dawg Camp programs help to create a greater sense of UGA community and assist in developing campus networks. Participants are generally more involved on campus and in leadership positions and are more satisfied with their college experience in general.

First Year Seminars

Offered by the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Honors Program, First Year Seminars provide an opportunity for students new to the University to become acquainted with a senior faculty member and to learn something about the intellectual challenge of academic life at the University of Georgia.

First Year Learning Communities
Each Learning Community has a distinctive academic theme, which allows a small group of incoming students to explore an area of interest together. Led by an outstanding faculty member, students in each small group take classes together and share a residential assignment.
